Mema’s isn’t just delicious, hot southern biscuits made with loads of salty butter and tangy buttermilk; it’s years of figuring out how to make the fluffy savoury biscuits of my childhood in Alabama work here in the UK.
Named after my Mema and my Grandmother Johnson, both excellent chefs and formidable women in their own right, Mema’s is a concept that is underway to bring a little bit of the American South to you in south London.
